STRIDE Community Health Center, formerly known as Metro Community Provider Network, is a 501c Federally Qualified Health Center with a 30-year history of providing primary care and other health-related services in a community-based setting. The organization addresses the need for affordable and accessible medical, behavioral health, and dental care among low-income, uninsured, and underserved populations residing outside the city and county of Denver. From a single clinic in 1989, STRIDE has grown into a large, integrated health care delivery system with nearly 20 health center locations providing primary medical care, dental care, behavioral health, and wrap around services, including three School Based Health Centers and a mobile dental van. STRIDE Community Health Center offers exceptional geriatric care for our patients aged 65 and older. At Tennyson Center for Children, we aim to build stronger and healthier kids and families. Many students arrive at our K-12, school-based, day-treatment program having experienced complex trauma. By integrating social, emotional, behavioral, and academic learning into the program, our students see tremendous growth. During the 2020/2021 year, we saw a 67% increase in reading proficiency and a 79% increase in math proficiency which are enormous achievements for students who typically arrive at Tennyson two to three years behind in school. Outside of our Day Treatment Program, we also offer a multitude of child and family therapy services that provide support across Colorado – and beyond. Our wide array of Community Programs supports children, teens, adults, parents, families, foster families, and parents-to-be.
